We’re looking for a full time sales associate for our Huntsville showroom.
Full Time Sales Associate
The Sales Associate is responsible for maximizing sales while assisting customers in custom furniture, custom kitchen, giftware and fashion. Associates are responsible for keeping the showroom neat, tidy, and well maintained. This position includes some heavy lifting and carrying. Attention to detail and a passionate attitude is a must.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
Assisting on the sales floor with sales, customer carry out and Point of Sale transactions.
Maximizes sales opportunities with every customer by using current selling techniques.
Provides coverage in all areas of the store where business needs require.
Communicating with the Manager to maximize sales.
Maintains company merchandising standards, including current pricing and signage.
Has a complete understanding of all company policies and procedures.
Maintains general cleanliness of all areas, including showroom, cash area, receiving area, lunchroom and washrooms as assigned, according to company standards.
Identifies and communicates suggestions for improvements in all areas of business.
Ensures the proper use and care of all equipment.
Educates customers about the proper maintenance of all products sold.
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, sometime larger furniture pieces.
Moving solid wood furniture on the showroom floor.
Associate is expected to maintain a safe working environment and follow all company protocols for safety and is required to report any unsafe working conditions to a manager.
Available to work during the week and weekends.
Ability to complete detail oriented tasks according to stores evolving practices.
Ability to resolve retail and/or customer issues.
Ability to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations.
Ability to maintain a tidy appearance.
Positive attitude, punctuality, and solid work ethic.
Ability to resolve customer concerns in a diplomatic manner.
Ability to engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Be a self starter.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively and efficiently.
Can engage appropriately and work as part of a team.
Capacity to work independently and seek out assistance as required.
Three months to one year of previously related experience is preferred.
More about the position:
Standing/walking for 8 hours.
Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise items may vary in weight from light to heavy
Lifting and turning repeatedly throughout the shift.
Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise.
